    Years ago I read a book (series of books) about an American woman who travels back in time through a “stone henge like” place to Scotland in the 18th century. I loved the series and would really like to buy and read it again (I passed the books to friends and lost track of them).

    Do you (or anyone reading) know the name of these books? Main characters were Clair and Jamie (the highlander).

    You’re probably thinking of Diana Gabaldon’s “Outlander” series.

    Yep – Definetely sounds like it is the Outlander series.
