Happy "Read An E-Book" Week & Tuesday Cuteness

It’s “read an e-book” week…and may I humbly suggest that you start with one of mine? *LOL* Check out the sidebar for my books, and my links for many writing friends who are also e-published.

E-books are eco-friendly and very portable if you have an e-reader. My personal favorite is the Sony e-Reader, but Kindle and others work well too. You can load an entire library on a reader and whisk away to a vacation or business trip with no concern about running out of reading material! Very cool devices for excellent reads.

And now, let us return to our regularly scheduled “Tuesday Cuteness“…

Return from the Rainforest

I’m back from a fabulous experience at the Rainforest Writers Village at Lake Quinault, WA. Wow. I’m still processing the experience, so I’ll give you some thoughts in a later post when my brain is less fried. *lol*

For now, I am lucid enough to say that it was a delight to meet LiveJournal friends in the flesh! How cool is that? Folks I’ve been following on LJ now have faces and “in person” personalities! Woot!

For now, I’ll leave you with a picture of the lake taken by the estimable Kayt

Tuesday Cuteness & Writing Retreat!

Woo Hoo!!! I’m outta here tomorrow for a writing retreat on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. Five days of no cell service and minimal Internet should mean LOTS of productivity for Debbie!

So, I’ll leave you with our Tuesday Cuteness for this first week of March and bid you a fond farewell until next week.

Be good and have fun! (And no, those two are NOT mutually exclusive *LOL*)

Plot Bunny Meditation

Woo Hoo! My muse has staged a plot bunny rebellion! I’m swimming in ideas I can’t wait to write.

At least, I think I’m swimming. Must keep ahead of the plot bunnies! Mustn’t drown before I get the furry little critters hedged into novellas, novels, or short stories. Keep paddling, Debbie!

Oh, the divine agony! Which story to write first?

  • the contemporary young adult fantasy about a tree sprite named Nimue who lives in Mercer Island, WA?
  • the sci-fi time-travel romance about a futuristic woman who travels back to Brian Boru’s Ireland?
  • the young adult sci-fi futuristic about a girl who overcomes her near-slave status and learns that she and her gifts have value?
  • the historical romance set in Montana during the blizzard of 1886-87?

Or maybe I should work on the rewrite of the novella I’ve recently decided isn’t as finished as I thought it was…

And, of course, once the pediatric surgery is successfully behind us, I’ll need to get back to the urban fantasy I was making such good progress on during December and January.

*happy sigh* It’s good to have a wealth of projects. All these plot bunnies my muse has supplied prove that I don’t have to worry about running out of ideas.

Thank you, Muse. You’ve proven your status as plot bunny provider. But, if you don’t mind, could you corral the rest of the critters for another time? I have plenty for the near future.
