Happy “Hood to Coast” Weekend

I’m not a runner. Never have been, never will be, but I have several friends who are currently running in an amazing relay race in Oregon. Teams of 12 runners race from the slopes of Mt Hood (Timberline Lodge, to be exact) to the Pacific Ocean (Seaside, OR) — 199 miles. Each team member runs three separate legs of approximately 5 miles, and the relay ends with a celebration on the beach.

Participate? Me? No way! Cheer my friends on from the safety and comfort of my living room? You bet!! Here’s to a safe and fulfilling relay for everyone who is participating!!

(And just in case you’re wondering, YES the race has lots of safety protocols in place during this Age of Covid.)
