Plot Bunny Meditation

Woo Hoo! My muse has staged a plot bunny rebellion! I’m swimming in ideas I can’t wait to write.

At least, I think I’m swimming. Must keep ahead of the plot bunnies! Mustn’t drown before I get the furry little critters hedged into novellas, novels, or short stories. Keep paddling, Debbie!

Oh, the divine agony! Which story to write first?

  • the contemporary young adult fantasy about a tree sprite named Nimue who lives in Mercer Island, WA?
  • the sci-fi time-travel romance about a futuristic woman who travels back to Brian Boru’s Ireland?
  • the young adult sci-fi futuristic about a girl who overcomes her near-slave status and learns that she and her gifts have value?
  • the historical romance set in Montana during the blizzard of 1886-87?

Or maybe I should work on the rewrite of the novella I’ve recently decided isn’t as finished as I thought it was…

And, of course, once the pediatric surgery is successfully behind us, I’ll need to get back to the urban fantasy I was making such good progress on during December and January.

*happy sigh* It’s good to have a wealth of projects. All these plot bunnies my muse has supplied prove that I don’t have to worry about running out of ideas.

Thank you, Muse. You’ve proven your status as plot bunny provider. But, if you don’t mind, could you corral the rest of the critters for another time? I have plenty for the near future.
